Two pieces of mid century outdoor cooking. The Big Boy Barbecue Book comes from the barbecue experts of the Tested Recipe Institute at the Kitchen in the Clouds in New York, prepared with the cooperation of the Big Boy Manufacturing Company and distributed in the book trade by Grosset and Dunlap. Let's Eat Outdoors is a pamphlet from the American Dairy Association covering picnics, barbecues, patio parties, and camping.
The Big Boy book is a large vertical format with black plastic comb binding and stiff covers, and it walks through building the fire, judging how much charcoal to use, and telling when the food is done. The Dairy Association pamphlet is staple bound, with its back cover showing a man grilling on a Big Boy portable grill.
The Big Boy cover states the seventh printing and more than one million copies, at a price of $1.00. Its back cover has staining and soiling from use, and a few handwritten recipe clippings came inside it.

Every listing spells it out and shows it in photos. Chips, hairlines, crazing, worn plating, old repairs. If I did not mention it, it is not there.
Yes. Every photo is the actual piece, taken by me. When it sells, it is gone.
I note maker, mark, era, and measurements when I can confirm them, and say so plainly when I cannot. Unmarked pieces get dated by what the piece itself shows.
I process order within 2 business days, wrapped and boxed so it arrives the way it left here. Don't forget, free shipping on orders $35 and up.
