Collector’s Notes

Marx Soldiers of Fortune pieces are part of the early American tin litho toy world, where flat figures were designed to stand by folding back the lower base. A complete Marx Soldiers of Fortune set is documented as including lsoldiers with bent-back bases and point-value target game use, making individual figures useful for collectors filling out partial sets or creating a display.

This group has the kind of honest wear that shows its age clearly, but the colors and figures still have strong shelf appeal. It belongs nicely in Reading Vintage’s history, skills, and heritage world — small toy pieces with a very specific story attached.

A good little group for the collector who likes old toy pieces with their history still showing — before these quietly disappear.
