This striking vintage cobalt blue pedestal bowl brings bold mid-century color to any table or display cabinet.
The wide, shallow bowl rests on an elegant footed stem, creating the classic silhouette often described as a tazza or pedestal centerpiece. Its rich cobalt color glows beautifully in natural light, making it equally suited for display as a centerpiece, fruit bowl, or decorative art glass accent.
While no maker's mark is present, the form, proportions, and vibrant blue glass closely resemble Italian Empoli-style art glass produced during the 1960s and 1970s.
Very Good vintage condition.
Cobalt blue pedestal bowls became popular decorative accents during the Mid-Century Modern era. Italian glassmakers in the Empoli region produced many hand-blown pieces with similar clean, sculptural forms and saturated colors.
Because this example is unmarked, it is best described as being in the Empoli style rather than attributed to a specific Italian maker.
