These books continue the Star Wars story during the New Republic era. Before the Storm opens the trilogy as the New Republic faces the growing threat of the Yevetha while Luke searches for information about his mother's people. Shield of Lies continues the political and military crisis as Leia, Luke, Han, and Lando follow separate parts of the conflict.
