This solid brass baluster candlestick dates broadly to the 1960s to 1980s and has a tall, stacked ball form with turned ridges and a flared candle cup.

The brass has developed golden brown patina, spotting, surface marks, and darker oxidation, with heavier oxidation visible across the underside of the base.

The traditional Colonial Revival and Spanish Baroque inspired shape gives it enough height for a mantel, dining table, sideboard, or mixed brass candle holder display.

Collector's Notes

The candlestick uses a threaded center rod and hex nut construction typical of assembled brass candle holders from the mid to late 20th century. The method allowed several turned sections to be drawn tightly together into one tall form.

At 10.5 inches tall, it suits someone building a mixed brass candlestick grouping or looking for a single taller piece for a mantel, dining table, or sideboard.

The stacked spherical nodes and repeated flared collars give this example a strong baluster profile rather than the simpler column shape found on many brass candle holders.

The aged surface has been left visible rather than polished bright, so the next owner can decide whether to keep the darker patina or polish the brass.
