Description

Romantic Prose of the Early Nineteenth Century covers English literature of the years 1790-1832.

Authors included are William Hazlett, Feelings of Immortality in Youth, Thomas De Quincey, Confessions of an Opium-Eater, William Cobbett, Rural Rides, Leigh Hunt Cruelty to Children, Sydney Smith Society for Suppression of Vice, Thomas Paine The Rights of Man and others.

Modern Student’s Library series was scholarly in tone and content with seemingly meticulous editing. The books themselves had higher quality binding and paper. Aimed primarily at educational buyers, scholars who provided introductions notes edited most of the books.

Condition

This hardcover book is in good shape for its age with no rips or tears. Please note the rip on the book cover. Also, the previous owner made notes the margins and underlined passages. You might find these interesting. These notes do not hinder reading this collection of romantic prose.

This book is an excellent addition to your early romantic, poetic prose collection or home library. Please use pictures as a guide. Have any questions or need more pictures, ask.
