Several covers show spotting, staining, rubbing, and small areas of surface loss, while the interior pages shown are clean and legible with bright orange red printing, as the photos show.

Each slim book follows Mournful, a teary little mouse, through a new adventure, from Mournful Visits Grandma and Mournful and the Space Trip to Mournful Visits the Haunted House and Mournful Visits the South Pole.
