This is a single Lenox Butterfly Meadow Fritillary accent plate, 9 inches across, in white porcelain with a gently scalloped rim.

The center carries yellow blossoms with dark centers on green stems, a blue butterfly in flight to the right, a bumblebee near the flowers, and a small red ladybug resting on a leaf. There are no chips and no cracks, the printed design is sharp and complete, and the backstamp is fully legible. As a used plate it carries faint utensil marks in the center well that show only under close light.

Butterfly Meadow pairs botanical illustration with the insects that visit, and this variation carries the Fritillary name on the back. It is the kind of piece that breaks up a shelf of plain white plates, or fills the one gap in a set that is almost complete.
