Kipling: A Selection of His Stories and Poems 2 Volume Set Book Club Edition Doubleday 1956 Hardcover Dust Jackets

This is the two volume set of Kipling: A Selection of His Stories and Poems by John Beecroft, illustrated by Richard M. Powers, published by Doubleday & Company of Garden City, New York, in 1956, as Book Club Edition hardcovers with dust jackets, and both volumes shown are included in the sale.

The Volume I dust jacket has obvious scuffing and wear on the front and back with no rips, and the jackets show edge wear at the corners, while Volume II has no other flaws and both jackets keep their fun, colorful graphics.

Volume I gathers Kim, The Jungle Book, Just So Stories, and Puck of Pook's Hill. Volume II holds short stories such as The Phantom 'Rickshaw, The Man Who Would Be King, Wee Willie Winkie, and The Mark of the Beast, the poems Gunga Din, Danny Deever, Mandalay, and The Ballad of East and West, and Kipling's autobiography Something of Myself, a full shelf of Rudyard Kipling's stories and poems in two books.

Questions buyers ask

Every listing spells it out and shows it in photos. Chips, hairlines, crazing, worn plating, old repairs. If I did not mention it, it is not there.

Yes. Every photo is the actual piece, taken by me. When it sells, it is gone.

I note maker, mark, era, and measurements when I can confirm them, and say so plainly when I cannot. Unmarked pieces get dated by what the piece itself shows.

I process order within 2 business days, wrapped and boxed so it arrives the way it left here. Don't forget, free shipping on orders $35 and up.
