About the Author: Hugh McHugh (George V. Hobart)

Hugh McHugh was the pen name of George V. Hobart, a Canadian-American playwright, novelist, and librettist who enjoyed considerable popularity in the early 20th century. His John Henry series, filled with humor and social commentary, was widely read during its time.
