Frank Lloyd Wright Monograph 1887-1901 is Volume 1 of the 12-volume series edited and photographed by Yukio Futagawa, with text by Bruce Brooks Pfeiffer. A.D.A. Edita Tokyo published the series, which follows Wright's work in order across his whole career. This oversized softcover covers his early years, when the Prairie School style was taking shape, and includes his own home and studio in Oak Park, Illinois.
Inside you'll find color and black and white photographs of finished buildings along with Wright's original plans, elevations, and drawings, including the Luxfer Prism Company Office Building project from 1895. The text runs in English and Japanese side by side. There are 468 pages, plus a list and notes to the plates and an index.
Volumes 2 and 3 of this series are also available at Reading Vintage, so you can start building the run.
Positives: Graded Very Good. The cover art is bright and the pages are clean, with crisp photographs and drawings throughout.
Issues / Wear: The spine is slightly faded and has small chips.

Every listing spells it out and shows it in photos. Chips, hairlines, crazing, worn plating, old repairs. If I did not mention it, it is not there.
Yes. Every photo is the actual piece, taken by me. When it sells, it is gone.
I note maker, mark, era, and measurements when I can confirm them, and say so plainly when I cannot. Unmarked pieces get dated by what the piece itself shows.
I process order within 2 business days, wrapped and boxed so it arrives the way it left here. Don't forget, free shipping on orders $35 and up.
