These two vintage East Tawas Michigan linen postcards feature Lovers Retreat and a scenic woodland road, both printed by Curt Teich in the 1930s.
Both postcards are in good vintage condition, with colorful fronts, clean surfaces, and no rips or tears. Both have handwritten messages, addresses, and original postage stamps on the reverse.
Curt Teich's Art-Colortone postcards captured American vacation destinations in bright colors during the 1930s. These two scenes preserve a look at East Tawas when wooded roads, quiet waterfronts, and lakeside retreats drew visitors to northern Michigan.

The original messages add another piece of everyday Michigan history. One sender describes a summer vacation, while the other card carries a 1947 postal cancellation. Together, they preserve both the landscape and the personal correspondence of an earlier generation.
If you collect Michigan postcards, Curt Teich linen cards, or East Tawas memorabilia, these two colorful scenes offer a small glimpse of northern Michigan vacation history. If it's the one you've been looking for, it's ready to come home.

Every listing spells it out and shows it in photos. Chips, hairlines, crazing, worn plating, old repairs. If I did not mention it, it is not there.
Yes. Every photo is the actual piece, taken by me. When it sells, it is gone.
I note maker, mark, era, and measurements when I can confirm them, and say so plainly when I cannot. Unmarked pieces get dated by what the piece itself shows.
I process order within 2 business days, wrapped and boxed so it arrives the way it left here. Don't forget, free shipping on orders $35 and up.
