About the Series

The Villains Series looks at the corrupted servants and rulers tied to Takhisis, Queen of Darkness. Instead of treating them only as enemies in someone else's story, each volume follows one villain more closely.

Before the Mask tells the early story of Verminaard. The Black Wing centers on the black dragon Khisanth. Emperor of Ansalon follows Ariakas before he becomes the leader of the Dragonarmies. Hederick the Theocrat tells the story of the fanatical priest Hederick. Lord Toede follows the hobgoblin Toede, and The Dark Queen centers on Takhisis herself.

If you already read Dragonlance and want the Villains books in order, this is the full six volume run rather than a mixed group from several Dragonlance series.
