The Boston Cooking-School Cook Book by Fannie Merritt Farmer is a 1930 Little, Brown, and Company hardcover marked New Edition Completely Revised.
This particular copy has been used as a working family cookbook. Along with the printed recipes, you get handwritten recipe notes, clipped recipes, recipe cards, advertising material, and an old shower gift card still tucked inside its envelope. Those pieces are included with the book and have been left where they were found.
The book covers a wide range of home cooking, baking, breads, meats, fish, vegetables, desserts, pies, sauces, garnishes, substitutions, temperatures, and household cooking methods.
Black and white illustrations and photographs appear through the book. The pages include bread and biscuit recipes, garnishes, relishes, pie instructions, and a substitutions and cooking temperatures reference page.
Advertising material is also present, including period household and kitchen advertising.

This is a heavily used cookbook being sold as is.
The mustard yellow cloth covers show rubbing, darkening, stains, edge wear, worn corners, and handling marks. The page edges are heavily age toned and stained in places.
The binding is split at both the front and back. The covers remain with the book, but the hinges are weak and this should be handled with care. This is not a tight binding.
There is random staining throughout the book. Some pages have handwritten notes or recipes. Loose recipes and other paper pieces have been left inside.
I believe all of the pages are present, but I am not guaranteeing completeness. The book is sold as is.
If you want a clean copy for display, this one will probably disappoint you. If you want an old working cookbook that still carries the recipes, notes, saved clippings, and household papers of the people who actually used it, those details are still here.
