Day 1 is in the books for the Boyne Antique Car and Flea Market. A new "to me show" in up north Michigan city of Boyne. This show is right on Lake Charlevoix at the city park. The weather was in the high 80's and the people friendly.
Along with vintage and muscle cars, pirates were seen shopping. One even had a large, loud red parrot. The pirate fest is this weekend, and a tall ship was seen out in Lake Charlevoix. A busy weekend for the city of Boyne an excellent up north town.
The weirdest thing sold a pair of llama chaps, and I have the picture to prove it. Fun stuff! One pair of chaps sold and one more to go!
I also meet a local Chef who collects old cookbooks. He prepares food at farmers markets using simple recipes found in the cookbooks he collects. His wife called them his tools, in his line of work they are.
What books do you have that you consider tools? Please let me know the answer in the comment section!
I did recommend the AMERICAN PEOPLES COOKBOOK BY STAFF OF THE CULINARY ARTS INSTITUTE published in 1956. The author, RUTH BEROLZHEIMERis a respected and prolific cookbook author.
Sunday Funday who knows what tomorrow will bring. I'm hopefully packing up with less than I came!
Non-vintage related observation...View from the top of Boyne Mountian. Beautiful!
