This R.S. Prussia Red Mark footed cream and sugar set is an antique porcelain pair from approximately the late 1890s to 1914, decorated with pink roses, deep green panels, pale yellow grounds, and gold accents.
The lidded sugar bowl and matching creamer have strongly molded Art Nouveau forms with scalloped rims, angular paneled bodies, loop handles, and small gilt feet. The mix of green, cream, rose pink, and gold gives the pair plenty of color without losing the delicate look associated with turn of the century porcelain.
Both pieces are included, along with the sugar bowl lid. A cancelled postage stamp was found inside the sugar bowl and is being left with the set as found.
