This set of eight Royal Heidelberg Winterling Rose Brier plates brings together pink roses, softly raised porcelain borders, and bright gold trim in a matching German china set.
I like these as a group because the pattern has enough color to feel decorative without making the plates hard to use. The rose sprays are spaced around the rim, leaving the center open, and the molded border gives the white porcelain a little more depth.
All eight plates are in very good vintage condition. Pam reports no chips or cracks, and all edges and surfaces feel smooth. The gold trim remains bright and attractive in the photos. Light age or use wear may be present, as expected on older dinnerware, but I do not see damage that takes away from the set.
Royal Heidelberg was one of the names used on Winterling German porcelain, and Rose Brier is an identifiable floral pattern with pink rose sprays and gold edging. Sets like this work well for someone replacing pieces in an existing service or for someone who wants a matching group of vintage floral plates without buying a full dinner service.
The eight matching plates are the strength here. They can be used together for salad, luncheon, dessert, or display rather than being sold as single replacement pieces.
