Coils and Changeling make up this two book Roger Zelazny paperback lot from the early 1980s. Coils is co-written with Fred Saberhagen and has clean readable pages, but the binding is split and pages are loose. Both books include black and white illustrations, giving this pair more visual interest than the usual mass market science fiction reading copies.
Coils is the larger Wallaby Books edition, measuring about 8 by 5 inches with 250 pages. Its copyright page identifies this copy as the First Wallaby Books Printing from May 1982, with ISBN 0-671-44915-X. The book includes interior illustrations by Ron Miller, cover art by Howard Chaykin, and visible wear from reading and storage.
Changeling is the smaller Ace paperback, measuring about 7 by 4 inches with 269 pages. Its copyright page identifies the first Ace printing as June 1980 and this first mass market edition as April 1981. ISBN 0-441-10257-3 appears on the back cover. Esteban Maroto provided the black and white illustrations throughout.

These early 1980s editions come from a period when illustrated science fiction paperbacks sometimes blended novel text with full page black and white artwork.
Together they make an interesting reading pair where the interior illustration work is almost as noticeable as the cover art.

Care and Handling
Handle with clean, dry hands. Store upright, out of direct sunlight, at about 68°F and 40 to 50% relative humidity. Avoid damp areas and extreme temperature swings.
Yes. Every photo on this page is the actual item you will receive. Not a stock photo, not a similar copy. What you see is what ships.
Honestly. This is vintage, so expect some age. When I find wear, writing, stains, loose pages, chips, or missing pieces, I note them and show them in the photos. Some marks add character. Some are just flaws. I tell you which is which so you can decide if this is the right one for you.
With care. Old books and fragile pieces are wrapped and boxed so they arrive the way they left me. Careful packing is one of the things buyers mention most in their reviews. Orders of $35 or more ship free.
Probably not. Everything here is one of a kind, and I rarely find the same item twice. Once it sells, it is gone. Vintage does not restock neatly.
