Genuine Phillips Cobalt Blue Glass Bottle, Milk of Magnesia, Embossed Base, Made in U.S.A., 9 Inch Screw Top

This is a Genuine Phillips cobalt blue glass Milk of Magnesia bottle from 1957, about 9 inches tall with a threaded screw top neck and GENUINE PHILLIPS' embossed on the base.

The rim is smooth with no flea bites or cracks, and the cobalt is bright and even, while the inside still carries dark specks and residue, all shown in the photos.

Phillips' Milk of Magnesia came in cobalt blue bottles for much of the 20th century, and the threaded neck marks it as a later screw cap bottle rather than an early cork top. It glows on a shelf or windowsill where light can pass through it.

  • A few small white marks show in the body. They do not wipe off and appear to be in the glass itself.
