Crystal Glaze Teardrop Hanging Ceramic Ashtray Planter Mid Century Signed

This is a handmade mid century crystal glaze ceramic hanging ashtray with large teardrop side openings and a top hanging hole, about 10 inches tall.

The glossy tan glaze still shows bright blue, cream, and black crystal bursts with no chips or cracks visible in the photos, and the piece stands ready to hang or sit on a shelf.

Crystal glaze pieces like this were popular with studio and hobby potters in the 1960s and 1970s, when colored glass frit melted into random burst patterns in the kiln. Collectors often use the bowl as a hanging planter, candle lantern, or incense burner as well as an ashtray.

Questions buyers ask

Every listing spells it out and shows it in photos. Chips, hairlines, crazing, worn plating, old repairs. If I did not mention it, it is not there.

Yes. Every photo is the actual piece, taken by me. When it sells, it is gone.

I note maker, mark, era, and measurements when I can confirm them, and say so plainly when I cannot. Unmarked pieces get dated by what the piece itself shows.

I process your order within 1 business day, wrapped and boxed so it arrives the way it left here. Don't forget, free shipping on orders $35 and up.
