White House Chef is François Rysavy's account of his years running the White House kitchen for President and Mrs. Eisenhower, published by G. P. Putnam's Sons in 1957 and illustrated by Artur Marokvia. The jacket carries the subtitle With Favorite Recipes of the President and Mrs. Eisenhower.
This copy still has its dust jacket, stained and worn along the top edge and spine, and it did its job of protecting the book. The yellow hardcover underneath is in good condition. The top page ends carry spotting, and there is a small handwritten 7 near the top of one inside page.
The recipes run from Martha Washington's meat loaf and string beans almondine to President Eisenhower's ham steak in milk, with the printed menus for a stag dinner and a special luncheon held in March 1955. It suits a shelf of presidential history as well as a working kitchen collection.

Every listing spells it out and shows it in photos. Chips, hairlines, crazing, worn plating, old repairs. If I did not mention it, it is not there.
Yes. Every photo is the actual piece, taken by me. When it sells, it is gone.
I note maker, mark, era, and measurements when I can confirm them, and say so plainly when I cannot. Unmarked pieces get dated by what the piece itself shows.
I process your order within 1 business day, wrapped and boxed so it arrives the way it left here. Don't forget, free shipping on orders $35 and up.
