This lot spans three distinct Valentine postcard styles — the soft romantic lithographs of the Golden Age (kissing couple, sailing ship), the language-of-flowers genre (Love's Symbols / Chrysanthemum), and the slightly later Art Deco-influenced novelty cards (telephone, cupid wagon).
The February 1910 Imlay City Michigan postmark on the kissing couple card is a real collector's detail. Together these six cards offer a lovely cross-section of how Americans sent their hearts through the mail across three decades.
