About the Author: M.M. Quaife
M.M. Quaife (1880–1959) was a distinguished historian, editor, and librarian. Born in Nashua, Iowa, he earned degrees from Grinnell College, the University of Missouri, and the University of Chicago. Quaife was a leading figure in historical preservation as secretary-editor of Detroit Public Library’s Burton Collection.
