How It All Started

About Pam - The Heart Behind Reading Vintage

Pam, the curator of Reading Vintage, is a passionate lover of all things bookish. Her love for literature extends beyond the usual reader's experience as she spends her time scouring estate sales, navigating through old kitchens for vintage cookbooks and recipe collections. She then ventures into libraries, bedrooms, and even basements, hunting down exciting books that you will find in the many collections available for browsing on Reading Vintage.

She believes that books tell a lot more than just stories - they reveal the personalities of their previous owners. This is an idea that always intrigues her as she collects books. If someone were to see your book collection, what would it say about you?

The journey of Reading Vintage began online in late 2015 with an Etsy shop. It turned out to be a promising start and encouraged Pam to think bigger. So, in the summer of 2018, she took a leap of faith, launched the Reading Vintage website, and there's been no looking back ever since.

Though it took a lot of trial and error, assistance from a supportive co-working group, and many hours of hard work, she was able to bring Reading Vintage to where it stands today. Despite the progress, she believes that Reading Vintage is still a work in progress, because perfection, after all, is a continuous pursuit.

And so, she continues her quest for unique books. With boxes and boxes of books yet to be sorted through and added to the collections, Pam's mission to grow Reading Vintage never stops. Because, as any book lover would agree, can you really leave a great book behind?
