His works, including The Picture of Dorian Gray and his society comedies, solidified his reputation. However, his personal life took a tragic turn when he was imprisoned for homosexual conduct in 1895. Despite his fall from grace, Wilde’s literary genius remains undisputed, and his works continue to captivate readers worldwide.
