Description

Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar is a novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs the fifth in his series of twenty-four books about the title character Tarzan.

Tarzan gets into a bit of a financial scrape thanks to a bad investment and turns to the gold-laden city of Opar to replenish his coffers.

Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar’ has good points and some bad ones. On the one hand, the plot is a tangle with too many characters and so many side plots that it feels like a ridiculous mockery. But, on the other hand, Tarzan’s interaction with animals is marvelous fun.

Tarzan and the Jewel of Opar is an excellent addition to your vintage Edgar Rice Burroughs collection or home library.
