Tarzan and the Jewel of Opar by Edgar Rice Burroughs 1918 Grosset & Dunlap Vintage Book

| /

Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar is a novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs the fifth in his series of twenty-four books about the title character Tarzan.

Tarzan gets into a bit of a financial scrape thanks to a bad investment and turns to the gold-laden city of Opar to replenish his coffers.

Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar’ has good points and some bad ones. On the one hand, the plot is a tangle with too many characters and so many side plots that it feels like a ridiculous mockery. But, on the other hand, Tarzan’s interaction with animals is marvelous fun.

Tarzan and the Jewel of Opar is an excellent addition to your vintage Edgar Rice Burroughs collection or home library.

Tarzan and the Jewel of Opar is in good vintage condition for its age.

However, please note that the wear on the cover and water stains on the dust jacket does not affect the book, as shown in the photos.
