Sardi's is legendary! Established at its current location on West 44th Street in 1927, Sardi's has been synonymous with Broadway's elite and bustling theatre culture. Known for its walls adorned with over a thousand caricatures of famous Broadway stars, Sardi's was founded by Vincent Sardi Sr. and his wife Jenny Pallera.
To entice patrons, Sardi Sr. enlisted Alex Gard, a Russian refugee, to draw caricatures in exchange for free meals—a tradition that cemented the restaurant's charm and connection to theatre history.
This menu is more than just a collection of dishes; it’s a piece of New York City's theatrical heritage. Perfect for collectors of vintage ephemera, lovers of Broadway, or those with a nostalgic heart for mid-century Manhattan, this Sardi's menu is a rare find that encapsulates the history and excitement of Broadway.
