The Joy of Cooking by Irma S. Rombauer is full of time-tested recipes. Seventy-five plus years ago, a St. Louis widow named Irma von Starkloff Rombauer took her life savings and self-published a book called The Joy of Cooking.
Her daughter Marion tested recipes and made the illustrations, and they sold their mother-daughter project from Irma's apartment.
This vintage cookbook is an excellent addition to your cookbook collection or home kitchen.
This book itself is in good shape for its age with no rips or tears. Instructions are written in pencil as shown in pictures. There is wear and rips on the book cover. No stained pages as far as I can see, slight flecks of stains on the outside.
