Description

Euripides is a leather-bound book with gold gilt pages and is an excellent addition to your vintage Greek tragedy collection or Easton Press.

Medea (Ancient Greek: Μήδεια, Mēdeia) is an ancient Greek tragedy written by Euripides, based upon the myth of Jason and Medea, and first produced in 431 BC. The plot centers on the actions of Medea, a former princess of the "barbarian" kingdom of Colchis and the wife of Jason; she finds her position in the Greek world threatened as Jason leaves her for the Greek princess of Corinth. Medea takes vengeance on Jason by killing Jason's new wife and her children with him, after which she escapes to Athens to start a new life.

A truly, gorgeously handsome volume, this book is designed to become an heirloom in collectible and gift-giving condition.

What is vintage sustainability?

Buying vintage anything is essential because recycling and reusing items means fewer polluting resources are being used to make brand new books, kitchen items, bookends, and more.

Approximately 640,000 tons of books are deposited in the landfill annually at an average weight of 4 pounds each. This averages out to about 320 million books discarded each year that are not recycled. Wow!

As avid readers become more conscious of the environmental consequence of disposable books, we are looking for a more sustainable way to shop.

Could buying vintage be the answer? Absolutely!

Our vintage books are authentic, sustainable, and unique. So make a difference - your way.

All of my vintage books are sourced from personal collections found in estate sales.

When you shop with Reading Vintage, you are saving a book from the landfill.

Sustainability is the future.

I'm passionate about preserving our past and passionate about the power of books to tell stories.

Because my goal at Reading Vintage is to connect readers to books, I hope to save these books from the landfill.

I'm proud to offer these books that are gently used. For anyone interested in the environment, browse our online shelves so you can find the titles you love in a way that's more environmentally friendly.
