Description

It was the final volume edited by Edward Stratemeyerbefore his death. His daughter extensively revised the novel in 1960.

Laura Pendleton rescues Nancy Drew and her friend Helen, who can't swim when their rowboat capsizes during a sudden, severe storm on Moon Lake. The girls from River Heights befriend the orphaned Laura, who has come to the area to meet her new guardian, Jacob Aborn.

Mr. Aborn seems somewhat boorish to the River Heights girls, and Nancy, upon returning home, receives a phone call from Laura, who is desperate to escape from her "evil" guardian.

The Bungalow Mystery is an excellent addition to your vintage Nancy Drew collection or home library.

Who We Are

When you shop with Reading Vintage, you are saving a book from the landfill.

Our vintage books are authentic, sustainable, and unique.

What is vintage sustainability?

Approximately 640,000 tons of books are deposited in the landfill annually at an average weight of 4 pounds each. This averages out to about 320 million books discarded each year that are not recycled. Wow!

As avid readers become more conscious of the environmental consequence of disposable books, we are looking for a more sustainable way to shop.

Could buying vintage be the answer?

Most readers don't imagine when buying a new book how much paper we are using and what will happen to that paper in a year or two.

All of my vintage books are sourced from personal collections found in estate sales.

I'm passionate about preserving our past and passionate about the power of books to tell stories.

Because my goal at Reading Vintage is to connect readers to books, I hope to save these books from the landfill.

I'm proud to offer these books that are gently used, so you can find the titles you love in a way that's more environmentally friendly.

Happy Reading,

Pam of Reading Vintage
